The ProcessInterviews
The ghostwriting process begins with a series of interviews designed to draw out the elements of your experiences or concepts that will allow me to bring them to life. Of course, you’ll be invited to contribute any writing of your own as well. The style for interviews is as follows: one to two-hour weekly sessions, likely ranging for between a six and twelve weeks. This helps us build rapport and allows adequate time for the follow-up questions and elaboration needed for a full-length manuscript. Some clients may propose a different style that works better for them but meets the objectives of the example above––this is not a problem. Writing After I’ve captured your story, I’ll set about writing your work. The writing itself will take roughly 4-6 months time for all drafts and final edits––this is based on a 250-300 page full-length book. Over this period we'll communicate in the agreed upon manner and frequency––no surprises. This ensures the involvement necessary, and ensures your direction and message stay consistent in the work . As such, the manuscript will be written entirely in your pacing and style, strengthened by utilizing your voice. For this reason clients often can’t tell the difference between a direct quote and my own writing, an quality to expect from your ghostwriter. Publishing When your manuscript is complete, you may elect to hire me as your publishing consultant. In this role, I would assist you in finding the right type of publisher(s) for your piece and help you correctly submit your manuscript for approval. You'll find great benefit in my consultations on typesetting, artwork, and the royalties you will soon receive from your new book! |
